PSI will be attending this 2-day forum where participants will discuss how to best mobilize the public services and accelerate innovation to achieve the vision of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how to leave no one behind.

Ride Ride Ride for Social Justice - Route of Shame 2017

A PSI delegation, part of the major group of workers and trade unions working in coordination with the Civil Society group for Financing for Development, will be attending the ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development follow-up (FfD). ILO Experts Meeting on Unions’ Action to Promote Decent Work for Persons with Disabilities

PSI will be participating in this ILO conference on "Decent Work for Persons with Disabilities". The conference aims to disseminate research and raise awareness on inclusion of persons with disabilities and the relation between this and decent work. The conference will be looking to identify ways forward for both trade unions and the ILO itself.

UN Commission: New Investments in Global Health Workforce Will Create Jobs and Drive Economic Growth

PSI General Secretary Rosa Pavanelli joins the Presidents of France and South Africa calling for urgent public investments globally to create new jobs in the health sector in order to prevent a projected shortfall of 18 million health workers primarily in low- and lower-middle-income countries, and help countries to maximize the social and economic benefits of increased health employment.

On 25 September, the UN’s new 2030 Agenda was adopted in the presence of the world’s top leaders at a special session of the Annual General Assembly of the United Nations. This year also marks the 70th Anniversary of the UN, which lends additional momentum to this new global agenda for sustainable development, which should lead the world out of poverty and save our planet.
