PSI Vacancy: LGBTI+ Rights Campaign Officer

Public Services International is looking for a dynamic team player who will work on campaigning for the rights of LGBTI+ workers, in PSI’s Union Development Department and as part of the Trade Union Rights team. Applications should be sent before 27 May at the latest.

With travel expected, the successful candidate will be based in our offices in Ferney-Voltaire, France (part of the Geneva area). The position is available from June 2019 and is funded until June 2021.

Their mission will be to implement a project in conjunction with the Council of Global Unions LGBTI+ Network, in collaboration with regional LGBTI+ trade union representatives.

Working in a vibrant multicultural workplace, the successful candidate will demonstrate awareness and experience of working in LGBTI+ communities and campaigning for LGBTI+ rights. Experience with trade unions is highly desirable.  The candidate must be fluent in English, knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable.

The candidate will be hard working, motivated, committed to social change and sensitive to trade unions. They must have attention for details and have problem solving skills. They will thrive in supporting others to achieve results, be a good communicator and be capable of going beyond the cultural and the linguistic divides, to easily communicate with the whole international team of PSI Head Office and in the Regions.
