PSI will be attending the informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing on 18 July 2016 as part of the lead-up to the UN high-level plenary meeting on addressing large movements of refugees and migrants to be held on 19 September 2016.

The Hearing will provide all relevant stakeholders with an opportunity to contribute to the preparatory process in a day of interactive multi-stakeholder panel discussions that
will include Member States as well as representatives from civil society, nongovernmental organizations, the academic and scientific community, the private sector, philanthropy and others.

PSI Head of Campaigns, Sandra Vermuyten, will be taking PSI's key messages to the Hearing and speaking on the panel "Upholding and protecting the human rights and dignity of all refugees and migrants in the context of large movements".

PSI has called on all its affiliates to lobby their governments for rights-based policies to ensure that all migrants and refugees have access to public services, social protection and access to decent work in the labour market. This implies:
