La Liga Internacional de Mujeres por la Paz y la Libertad, una de las primeras ONGs en ser reconocida como entidad consultiva con las Naciones Unidas en 1948, no participará en el 61º período de sesiones de la Comisión de la Condición Jurídica y Social de la Mujer (CSW61). WILPF advierte que la ausencia de mujeres de países afectados por la reciente prohibición de viajar de  Estados Unidos socava la premisa básica de la CSW como proceso inclusivo y participativo y amenaza su legitimidad.

The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), will not take part in the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61) and warns that the absence of women from countries affected by the recent US travel ban undermines the basic premise of the CSW as being an inclusive and participatory process and threatens its legitimacy.
