Jayati Ghosh talks to us about the timeliness of the release of the ICRICT declaration. Big international discussions are taking place over SDGs, climate change and Financing for Development. None of these can be done without resources. It is fine to ask companies be accountable for their acts by encouraging corporate social responsibility however, they should first start by paying their taxes. The potential is huge. We are giving up on massive resources, which are our entitlement, that could be used to develop the global economy. Jayati Ghosh talks to us about India, and explains how Mauritius is the largest foreign investor in India. She mentions the case of Vodafone's $11bn acquisition of the Indian assets of China's Hutchison Telecommunications in 2007. Vodafone said it did not owe tax on the deal
