Health staff and patients will rally in London on 7th March to say no to the government's Health and Social Care bill and to tell the UK government that the NHS is not for sale.

"The National Health Service is one of the best public health providers in the world and is a model for many PSI affiliates working in health services.  The NHS can only continue to provide valuable quality public health services if it remains in public hands," says Peter Waldorff in a letter of support, "We stand with all the women and men in the UK whose wish is to continue, with their devotion and expertise, to provide quality health services for all, rather than watch the government break up and privatise the National Health Service," he added.

At the meeting at Central Hall Westminster, some 30 speakers, all united in their opposition to the government's plans to reform the NHS, will address health staff and patients, urging them all to redouble their efforts to halt the health and social care bill.

Speakers from PSI affiliates, including UNISON General Secretary Dave Prentis and Unite General Secretary Len McCluskey will address the rally.
