PSI Congress delegates sign to end violence against women
This background document was produced for the Women's Caucus held prior to PSI’s World Congress. The World Congress is an important forum where we can raise our voices and join together in solidarity to pledge our combined efforts to stop violence against women. Our public sector unions must work towards creating a violence-free world for the women of today and for generations to come.

Violence against women exists in all countries and in all societies, and affects all groups of women and girls. One out of every three girls born today will face some form of violence in her life time.

Public sector workers are well-positioned to promote, implement and monitor laws and regulations that advance gender equality and protection against violence and harassment.
