Public Services International is actively involved with the World Social Forum 26-30 March 2013 in Tunis, Tunisia. We are hosting and co-sponsoring numerous events on trade union rights, youth and empowerment of women, where PSI affiliate members will share their views on water, women, tax justice, climate change and other important issues. This forum is of particular significance given the political challenges facing our members in the Middle East and North Africa two years after the Arab Spring. Thousands of participants from civil society organisations, trade unions and progressive political groups will be attending this gathering.

Through this project, supported by affiliate IMPACT (of Ireland) in collaboration with FNV Mondiaal (a trade union solidarity support organisation from the Netherlands), PSI has been able to play a concrete role in affirming the emergence of a democratic and independent public sector labour movement in Egypt.
