First Latin America Waste Sector Workers' Meeting

Trade union representatives of waste workers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, Paraguay, Nicaragua and Guatemala exchanges good practices and discussed the sector's challenges from a social, labor and environmental perspective. 

The group also met with representatives of informal waste workers associations for a discussion and potential joint actions and campaigns to promote decent work for all workers in the waste value chain. The group approved a joint statement and a regional work program.
