First Forum & Federation symposium on workers’ health

This series draws attention to the health of workers. Worldwide, workers’ health is adult health because the vast majority of adults work to live whether formally or informally. The health of workers underpins household income, national income, and the global economy. Workers need to stay healthy, yet their health is at risk daily.

The symposia highlight issues of health and safety at work that are central to the mandates of health NGOs and health trade unions. They include key partners in the United Nations system, governments and civil society and bring trade union perspectives to the attention of the international stakeholder community.

The opening event of the FORUM & FEDERATION Symposia will cover the prevention of occupational sources of Noncommunicable diseases.
