YOUTH AND CLIMATE CHANGE: TIME FOR ACTION
12 August is United Nations International Youth Day (IYD). The theme for IYD 2008 is “Youth and Climate Change: Time for Action”. PSI is taking the opportunity to call on young workers to join and get active in the trade union movement and on the trade union movement to reach out to young workers. The views, ideas and participation of young workers are vital to meeting the most
pressing challenges of today’s globalised world: precarious work, rising unemployment, increasing poverty and, of course, climate change.
PSI is working with young workers at a regional, sub-regional and national levels to find innovative ways for them to participate in trade union activities.
The PSI declaration for International Youth Day and the three posters prepared by PSI are now available. You can access them by clicking on the links below.
Join the union, be active, send a text message today!
